About me
Hi, I’m Biek, the voice behind Biek’s Closet.
I grew up in the Netherlands and later moved to the United States to study and play tennis. Living between these two worlds has strongly influenced the way I see fashion. Different cultures, lifestyles, and environments shape how people dress, and experiencing both has helped me develop my own perspective on style.
For me, fashion is not just about trends or what appears on runways. It is about everyday expression. I often find inspiration in simple moments: how someone styles a coat on a cold day, how colors are combined in an unexpected way, or how confidence can completely change the way an outfit looks. Real people and real situations are often the most interesting sources of inspiration.
Being an athlete has also shaped how I think about clothing. Playing tennis every day taught me that what you wear affects how you feel. When you feel comfortable and confident in your outfit, it changes the way you move, carry yourself, and interact with others. Style is not only about appearance; it is also about feeling strong and authentic in what you wear.
Through Biek’s Closet, I share outfit ideas, observations about fashion, and reflections on how style connects to everyday life. This blog brings together influences from Dutch street style, American campus life, and the energy of sports. My goal is to create a space where fashion feels approachable, creative, and personal.
Ultimately, I believe style should reflect who you are. Fashion does not need to follow strict rules. It should be something that allows you to express your personality, experiment with different looks, and feel confident in your own way.
Welcome to Biek’s Closet.
